ARMProtect is a service provided by Adventist Risk Management (ARM) designed to help our organizations manage and mitigate risks, ultimately protecting the assets and people within the Adventist community.  It provides essential insurance coverage to safeguard our workers.

Coverage Types

Summary of Coverage


Global Life (GBL)

Global Life Insurance provides employer-paid life coverage for full-time employees and their spouses. Claims are submitted through SSD Risk Management Services.

Eligibility
  • Mandatory for all full-time employees working ≥30 hours/week. Mandatory for eligible employee’s spouse
  • Spouse coverage limited to 50% of employee limit
  • Maximum coverage ages: Employee up to age 80 (required health questionnaire for new employees 65+); Spouse up to age 65
Benefit Limit Amount

See your organization representative for your organization's approved benefit amount.

Beneficiary Designation
  • Employees designate beneficiaries at enrollment
  • Changes allowed via employer-held forms
Termination of Coverage
  • Upon reaching maximum age limit
  • Loss of eligibility
  • Termination of employment
  • Leave without pay beyond 30 days
  • Non-payment of premiums
Claims
  • Report death within 90 days.
  • Submit claim form + death certificate to ARM

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (ADD)

The AD&D plan provides financial benefits for accidental death, accidental injury, and disability for employees, spouses, children, students, retirees, pilots, and other defined classes. Additional benefits include medical reimbursement, evacuation, repatriation, disability payments, and family support benefits.

Eligibility & Classes

  • Class 1: Employees (USD 5,000–250,000)
  • Class 1 Spouse (USD 5,000–250,000)
  • Class 1 Children (50% of employee benefit, max USD 15,000)
  • Students, retirees, pilots, literature evangelists each have designated limits and premium rates

Core Benefits

  • AD&D Principal Sum: Class-dependent
  • Accident Medical Benefit: USD 1,000
  • Repatriation: 100% of covered expenses
  • Emergency Evacuation: 100% of covered expenses
  • Emergency Medical: Up to USD 10,000
  • Emergency Reunion: Up to USD 5,000
  • Permanent Total Disability: 100% of principal sum
  • Temporary Total Disability: USD 200/week up to 26 weeks

Additional Family Benefits (Class 1 only)

  • Spouse Retraining Benefit: 5% of principal sum, up to USD 5,000
  • Child Care Center Benefit: 5% of principal sum, up to USD 5,000

Exclusions

  • War or act of war
  • Suicide/attempted suicide
  • Active military duty
  • Piloting or crewing an aircraft
  • Felony involvement
  • Illness, sickness, or bacterial infections

Claims

  • Must be submitted within 90 days
  • Emergency assistance via International SOS
